The Art Of Mind Gardening

James Allen in his book as a man Thinketh compares Mind to a garden and says every action we do is because of the seed we planted long back and good seeds yield good results .Every thought is a seed and its effects may not be immediate but in long term they will shape you.he says  They them selves are makers of themselves and is a collection of powerful ideas..

And Robin Sharma in his best seller “The Monk who sold his Ferrari” tells a beautiful story of a sumo walking through a garden ,In which Mind is the garden and If you take care of your mind garden and Nurture it properly you will reap benefits beyond your expectations.

every good thought will bring you happiness, have bad thoughts and  sadness will be your shadow and keep this thought in mind all the time. and slowly you will start to fear to have bad thoughts.you reap what you sow ,so be careful with your thoughts as they will become actions.

Mind is like a magnet you think good thoughts and your mind will attract only goodness and you will find  river of goodness to quench your thirst and to keep your mind always in that path needs serious efforts.

Its easy to cross the lines, break rules but real challenge lies in staying in the box and taking charge of your life.act hard on our life or it will.Your mind garden needs Protection all the time,a single negative thought or bad thought means allowing a weed or bug in to your garden.

Always having good thoughts and mastering your thoughts will produce a lot of Positive vibrations in your life and will provide you with Infinite energy and strength to take charge of your life.So master the art of mind gardening and all the success in life will follow you.

New Year Resolutions ? Can you stick to them ?

What are new resolutions ? They are  some good changes you want to bring into your life, because you don't like the existing ones and want to remove them from your life permanently .

Most common new year resolutions I hear are ,

  1. I want to shed some kilos .
  2. Quit smoking,drinking.
  3. Start writing dairy

Its easy to say but hard to follow, and we live in a world of broken promises and we cannot keep the promise we made to self. Once you commit to a thing in life you must stick to it,or don't commit at all.

Saying some thing and not doing it will weaken your character and moral values.Actually to bring goodness and greatness in life you really don't need a Particular date (January 1st 2010 )here, you can do it any time.

If you want to quit smoking ,don't wait till that day, start today and its not really that hard ,keep on trying till you completely quit.you should be master of your desires not the other way round.Paths are made by walking and not by waiting ,so start walking towards greatness and Goodness .

What seemingly impossible is possible all you have to do is keep trying

Wass up 2009 ?

If 2009 is personified what would it reply?Nothing much mate its time for me to join history And yearbooks, as you people are so heartless , you wont begin a farewell party for me,instead you are partying to welcome a new year.

What difference will it make to you ?2009 said : I don't want to be remembered as a year with many failures ,I want to be remembered as a year of CHANGE ,not only for America but for entire world. And it continued

King of Pop died in my arms, yeah that's sad, and Mumbai's terrorist attack also took place and above all Copenhagen is a complete failure, all these makes me sick, I said, don't worry we will learn some lessons from these experiences and will not let them happen again.

You people always think so, said 2009 and I said you are talking very pessimistic way ,see the bright side America chanted, Change and Brought a Leader with new vision and dream ,lets hope he will succeed . I was glad that 2009 almost forgot about Recession and did not spoke about it ,or else the entire conversation would be about it .and Experts also say its recovering fast, I don't think India was affected at all.

2009 said we have a lot to discuss but discussions alone cannot help you build a better New year and what really needed is the Change ,change from words to Actions.lets hope you guys will have an action filled 2010 ,and try to have a pleasant year .

I said gracias and goodbye amigo ,with a heavy heart and i think what 2010 holds in store for the world.

The Art of doing some thing all the time!

Post written by Kalyan.Follow me on Twitter.
Do you always do some thing or other to keep yourself occupied or you often use the words I am bored, Being ,getting, borrowing or thinking about boredom is a sin that's completely my opinion and you may or may not accept it.
The world offers you a lot of things to know and you always can learn some thing or other and keep your mind energetic and active.

If I Rest I Rust

that shall be your guiding principle and which is a very hard principle to follow ,many of us think and feel the work i am doing is the hardest work.
As long as you think what i am doing is work you will do work only, and when you start enjoying and have pleasure in what you are doing from bottom of your heart ,that day you will become  “Work Enlightened Soul”.
If a man is called to be street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.
                                                                    --Martin Luger King, Jr.
Human brain is the most advanced and powerful computer ever made and even after 1000 years it cannot be replaced because, humans hardly scratched its potential and power , when we didn't understand its power how can we create a replica….4210430127_f23ea86b38

No woman no cry !

This is 21 centaury and this is India, where Water on moon was discovered and Rahman won two Oscars and made us all proud and many more achievements like these made us all proud .a perfect mix bag of every thing from  massacre in Bombay (no MNS i wont call it Mumbai)shame on Indian Laws when a Criminal walks away from crime with just a 6 months of imprisonment and that too after 19 years after the incident took place.ar

And Sachin Tendulkar completed 20 years in cricket, and many more Important things like these happened and as a Aam admi I am happy ,sad and angry for various incidents.

My heart is filled with pain, agony seeing my country like this, Where even today caste, religion  are  guiding and controlling people.

I will tell you a story of a women :

a 24 year old ,educated ,good looking, earning 25k per month is in neck deep love and she announces the news in her family, that's it she was beaten brutally, abused ,scolded and mentally tortured in all possible ways , My lord what is the reason The boy who she loved is from a lower caste.and forced to forget him,she resisted ,undergone a lot of pain and I felt Nazis are back while listening to this story.

and she survived all these things and finally married him, that's the sweetest part  of this story and I really felt sorry for her, this is not only a story of single women /girl in  India, every street, every house is being infected by this disease, cry

a girl doesn't have freedom to choose her life, her destiny or her  life partner.I feel that religion is like bridge between you and god to communicate, now people are using it every thing else other than that .Dowry, caste, religion and bad relatives all these are making brave women of India cry.

take a look every around you fellow Indians I am not telling a fiction its true open your eyes and see it every where. Some where in my heart i am really not that proud to be Indian.sorry Patriots, India is not just a country, its people who live in it make India, yeah Taj Mahal is beautiful ,but the smiles on every Women in India makes it more Beautiful,no women no cry …….

Do you know any stories like this ? share with us and share your thoughts, have your say in comments below.

They themselves are makers of themselves

"They themselves are makers of themselves." the west says I think therefore i am and east says i am therefore i think(the way i think).thinking is the main thing in a persons life whether you follow east policy or west one it doesn't matter ,what matters is what you “THINK”.images

A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh is Inspiration for this article.and he inspired my life too.

"Thought in the mind hath made us, What we are By thought was wrought and built. If a man's mind Hath evil thoughts, pain comes on him as comes The wheel the ox behind .If one endure In purity of thought, joy follows him As his own shadow sure."   ---- James Allen

By the right choice and true application of thought, man ascends to the Divine Perfection; by the abuse and wrong application of thought, he descends below the level of the beast. Between these two extremes are all the grades of character, and man is their maker and master.

and my favorite lines from As a Man Thinketh and this a powerful thought.

Circumstance does not make the man; it reveals him to himself

and what makes or breaks you are your thoughts from small thoughts to big ones each one makes it own impact and also may change your life forever.

Those who can master their thoughts can master themselves, and master what they want, allowing wild thoughts to enter your mind is like allowing flock  of sheep in to a beautiful garden, before you realize what you have done your beautiful garden is gone.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago the next best time is now ,it applies to your life and thoughts, what happened to your life till today ,happened for good and what will happen will also be for good, only thing is have good deeds and thoughts and goodness  will come back 10 folds.

Change your Mindset any thing literally any thing is possible ,nothing is impossible in life and every thing now achieved was once Impossible before it was achieved.setting new standards and examples need courage and that can be achieved.

If you are so firmly decided to achieve or do some thing which is a good thing and good for all,If your thought is so firm, dedicated and honest trust me Gods will definitely listen to you.

Stats they are very boring!Think again after seeing this?

The man who changed very boring statistics to moving bubbles and flowing curves that make global trends clear, intuitive and even playful.

As a doctor and researcher, Hans Rosling identified a new paralytic disease induced by hunger in rural Africa. Now he looks at the bigger picture of social and economic development with his remarkable trend-revealing software.

He Blogs and tweets and also swallows swords ,@60 he does this feat just to prove one point

What seemingly impossible is possible

he is also founder and director of Gapminder, and he  is one of the world’s “100 most important global thinkers” of 2009, according to Foreign Policy Magazine.

Here is what Foreign Policy writes about Hans Rosling:

Rosling, a doctor and global-health professor, has become famous for his energetic lectures, in which he narrates mind-blowing statistics on development and public health — as they literally move across a screen. Imagine x-y axes filled with data points, each representing a country. As time passes, the dots move, realigning to show changes in child mortality, percentage of paved roads, unemployment rates, or pretty much any other metric you can imagine. Rosling’s quest to use numbers to shatter stereotypes of rich and poor countries has brought him global prominence.

Personal experience watch these videos after this you will never be the same .In life you cannot miss lectures like these .100 % worth watching.after seeing these videos you will understand what stats are doing in Zen+inspiration blog.

Hans Rosling shows the best stats you've ever seen

Hans Rosling's new insights on poverty

Hans Rosling on HIV: New facts and stunning data visuals

Hans Rosling: Let my dataset change your mindset

Hans Rosling: Asia's rise -- how and when

Hope you liked these videos became fan of MR.Hans Rosling and liked this article, please give your valuable comments and feedback. Thank you.

Inventory of normality

in “The winner stands alone”, by Paulo Coelho

1] Anything that makes us forget our true identity and our dreams and makes us only work to produce and reproduce.

2] Making rules for a war (the Geneva Convention).

3] Spending years at university and then not being able to find a job.

4] Working from nine in the morning to five in the afternoon at something that does not give us the least pleasure, so that we can retire after 30 years.

5] Retiring only to discover that we have no more energy to enjoy life, and then dying of boredom after a few years.

6] Using Botox.

7] Trying to be financially successful instead of seeking happiness.

8] Ridiculing those who seek happiness instead of money by calling them “people with no ambition”.

9] Comparing objects like cars, houses and clothes, and defining life according to these comparisons instead of really trying to find out the true reason for being alive.

10] Not talking to strangers. Saying nasty things about our neighbors.

11] Thinking that parents are always right.

12] Getting married, having children and staying together even though the love has gone, claiming that it’s for the sake of the children (who do not seem to be listening to the constant arguments).

12ª] Criticizing everybody who tries to be different.

14] Waking up with a hysterical alarm-clock at the bedside.

15] Believing absolutely everything that is printed.

16] Wearing a piece of colored cloth wrapped around the neck for no apparent reason and known by the pompous name “necktie”.

17] Never asking direct questions, even though the other person understands what you want to know.

18] Keeping a smile on your face when you really want to cry. And feeling sorry for those who show their own feelings.

19] Thinking that art is worth a fortune, or else that it is worth absolutely nothing.

20] Always despising what was easily gained, because the “necessary sacrifice” – and therefore also the required qualities – are missing.

21] Following fashion, even though it all looks ridiculous and uncomfortable.

22] Being convinced that all the famous people have tons of money saved up.

23] Investing a lot in exterior beauty and paying little attention to interior beauty.

24] Using all possible means to show that even though you are a normal person, you are infinitely superior to other human beings.

25] In any kind of public transport, never looking straight into the eyes of the other passengers, as this may be taken for attempting to seduce them.

26] When you enter an elevator, looking straight at the door and pretending you are the only person inside, however crowded it may be.

27] Never laughing out loud in a restaurant, no matter how funny the story is.

28] In the Northern hemisphere, always wearing the clothes that match the season of the year: short sleeves in springtime (however cold it may be) and a woolen jacket in the fall (no matter how warm it is).

29] In the Southern hemisphere, decorating the Christmas tree with cotton wool, even though winter has nothing to do with the birth of Christ.

30] As you grow older, thinking you are the wisest man in the world, even though not always do you have enough life experience to know what is wrong.

31] Going to a charity event and thinking that in this way you have collaborated enough to put an end to all the social inequalities in the world.

32] Eating three times a day, even if you’re not hungry.

33] Believing that the others are always better at everything: they are better-looking, more resourceful, richer and more intelligent. Since it’s very risky to venture beyond your own limits, it’s better to do nothing.

34] Using the car as a way to feel powerful and in control of the world.

35] Using foul language in traffic.

36] Thinking that everything your child does wrong is the fault of the company he or she is keeping.

37] Marrying the first person who offers you a position in society. Love can wait.

38] Always saying “I tried”, even though you haven’t tried at all.

39] Putting off doing the most interesting things in life until you no longer have the strength to do them.

40] Avoiding depression with massive daily doses of television programs.

41] Believing that it is possible to be sure of everything you have won.

42] Thinking that women don’t like football and that men don’t like interior decoration.

43] Blaming the government for everything bad that happens.

44] Being convinced that being a good, decent and respectful person means that the others will find you weak, vulnerable and easy to manipulate.

45] Being convinced that aggressiveness and discourtesy in treating others are signs of a powerful personality.

46] Being afraid of fibroscopy (men) and childbirth (women).

47] And finally, thinking that your religion is the sole proprietor of the absolute truth, the most important, the best, and that the other human beings in this immense planet who believe in any other manifestation of God are condemned to the fires of hell.

Inspirational words from Hugh MacLeod

Hugh MacLeod blogs at Gaping Void and is author of Ignore Everybody, what are those inspirational words

Never compare your inside with somebody else’s outside

Everybody in this world is divided in two Persons by the world only, actually your inside and your outside is only one thing to you but for worlds sake it is divided into Inside and outside.and this inside and outside persons is what makes this world.

Every body in this world is a good actor and we all know that how ? because we all act and that is a open secret and we still expect others to be true and that is silly.people always act good and will be good from out side.

When one starts comparing someone else’s outside with their inside there begins the problem and also that makes you fell insecure or some thing like that. and it is like judging a book by its cover and that is no at all good idea and we all know that ,many people are like attractive book covers ,with not so useful matter inside.

some times both book and cover can be very good, and one cannot judge a person completely just by one deed or action or from external showoff. If you know you are good from inside out then stop comparing.your Inside is like rabbit hole and you are Alice and you don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes ,then how can you judge or compare others or yourself.

  1. the first rule of Life is “Know Yourself”
  2. the second rule of life is “know yourself”

and that is the only rule, you better start working on that rather than thinking.

Are you Live or Alive?

I have this thought in my mind for a long long time! am I live or alive  ( I hope you know the difference between Live and alive) it is some thing like

I eat to live not live to eat

which category do you belong to?are you having a satisfied life? are you cheating yourself daily?do you ever think about others?did you ever felt like quitting everything and running away?seeing no meaning and clarity in life you are living?

why these things bother you, root cause ?simple you don't follow your dreams you live life who you think you are,not who you are?and you have the most heinous of habits in you not smoking or drinking or worse these are much better habits.

!!Fear and Lack of confidence!!you cannot and will not ever do any thing because of these two things.think for a moment ,it is easy to fill dots backwards, all those blanks in life are caused by these two!fill them and you will understand what fear and lack of confidence done to your life?

nothing makes you more idiotic than running away from your dreams, thinking small is sin , no dream is too big and no effort is too small we all make our impact in life if and only if we make some attempt to make a impact,a change.

what sucks is every one thinks every one can think like they do,ever observed a so called intelligent student explaining a mathematical problem to a so called dull/dumb student.intelligent student thinks what a dumb ass cant get this simple problem figured out and  dull one thinks how the fu.ck can he do it so easily and what really happens is every one thinks from his own view.

intelligent student expects other student to think as sharp as he thinks, like finger prints no two persons is world can see the world like the other sees, there will be some differences.it may be temporarily possible but permanently it is not possible.

living as if you are a machine ,not thinking any thing at all and years pass by like this, really all these earthly pleasures making you slave are good for now.but after missing every thing that is really worth in life you will start regretting.

your attitudes, egos, dominations, thinking as if you are only person who always do thing right, moods, madness's,finding faults with others and all doesn't matter at all, life is much more beautiful and simple,I Know Every thing is the worst think that can ever  happen to you in life, stay away from that .

earning a lot of money is not the greatest of things, living with yourself for ever ,vibrant and above all living life in your terms, following your dreams is the best thing you can ever do.

My name is I Am

I was regretting the past and fearing the future.

Suddenly my Lord was speaking.

"My name is I Am"

He paused. I waited. He continued.

"When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there.

My name is not I WAS.

"When you live in the future with its problems and fears, it is hard.

My name is not I WILL BE.

"When you live in this moment it is not hard. I am here.

My name is I AM."

The way of the tiger

The man was walking through the forest when he saw a crippled fox.

“How does she feed herself?” he thought.

At that moment, a tiger approached with an animal in its jaws. It satisfied its hunger and left what remained for the fox.

“If God helps the fox then he will help me too”, he thought. He returned to his house, locked the door and waited for Heaven to send him food.

Nothing happened. When he was getting too weak to go out and work, an angel appeared.

- Why did you decide to imitate the lame fox? – asked the angel. – Get up, take your tools and follow The way of the tiger!

What Matters now - FEAR

Have you ever wondered who’s behind that little voice in your head that tells you, “you’re in this by yourself, one person doesn’t make a difference, so why even try?”

His name is Fear. Fear plays the role of antagonist in the story of your life. You must rid yourself of him using all necessary means. We’re often impressed by those who appear to be fearless. the people who fly to the moon. Chase tornadoes. Enter dangerous war zones. Skydive.Speak in front of thousands of people. Stand up to cancer. Raise money and adopt a child that isn’t their flesh and blood.

So, why are we so inspired by them?Because deep down, we are them.We all share the same characteristics. We’re all divinely human.Until Fear is gone, (and realize he may never completely leave) make the decision to be courageous. the world needs your story in order to be complete.

Anne Jackson blogs, tweets, and writes books. Her most recent work, Permission To Speak Freely: Essays and Art on Fear,Confession and Grace will be available in August.

What matters now - Meaning

image

Hugh MacLeod blogs at Gaping Void and is author of Ignore Everybody.

What matters now RIPPLE

Education has a ripple effect. One drop can initiate a cascade of possibility, each concentric circle gaining in size and traveling further. If you get education right, you get many things right: escape from poverty, better family health, and improved status of women.

Educate a girl, and you educate her children and generations to follow.

Yet for hundreds of millions of kids in the developing world, the ripple never begins. Instead, there’s a seemingly inescapable whirlpool of poverty. In the words of a headmaster I once met in Nepal: “We are too poor to afford education. But until we have education, we will always be poor.”

that’s why there are 300 million children in the developing world who woke up this morning and did not go to school. And why there are over 750 million people unable to read and write, nearly 2/3 of whom are girls and women.

I dream of a world in which we’ve changed that. A world with thousands of new schools. Tens of thousands of new libraries. Each with equal access for all children. the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. the second best time is now.

John Wood is Founder & Executive Chairman, Room to Read, which has built over 850 schools and opened over 7,500 libraries serving 3 million children. He is the author of Leaving Microsoft to Change the World.

What matters now – EVANGELISM

E VA N G E L I S M the future belongs to people who can spread ideas. Here are ten things to remember: 1. Create a cause. A cause seizes the moral high ground and makes people’s lives better.

2. Love the cause. “Evangelist” isn’t a job title. It’s a way of life. If you don’t love a cause, you can’t evangelize it.

3. Look for agnostics, ignore atheists. It’s too hard to convert people who deny your cause. Look for people who are supportive or neutral instead.

4. Localize the pain. Never describe your cause by using bull shiitake terms like “revolutionary” and “paradigm shifting.” Instead, explain how it helps a person.

5. Let people test drive the cause. Let people try your cause, take it home, download it, and then decide if it’s right for them.

6. Learn to give a demo. A person simply cannot evangelize a product if she cannot demo it.

7. Provide a safe first step. Don’t put up any big hurdles in the beginning of the process. the path to adopting a cause needs a slippery slope.

8. Ignore pedigrees. Don’t focus on the people with big titles and big reputations. Help anyone who can help you.

9. Never tell a lie. Credibility is everything for an evangelist. Tell the truth—even if it hurts. Actually, especially if it hurts.

10. Remember your friends. Be nice to the people on the way up because you might see them again on the way down.

Guy Kawasaki is a founding partner and entrepreneur-inresidence at Garage Technology Ventures. He is also the co-founder of Alltop.com. Previously, he was an Apple Fellow at Apple Computer, Inc. Guy is the author of nine books.

What matters now - NOBODY

Nobody has the answers.
Nobody is listening to you.
Nobody is looking out for your interests.
Nobody will lower your taxes.
Nobody will fix the education system.
Nobody knows what he is doing in Washington.
Nobody will make us energy independent.
Nobody will cut government waste.
Nobody will clean up the environment.
Nobody will protect us against terrorist threats.
Nobody will tell the truth.
Nobody will avoid conflicts of interest.
Nobody will restore ethical behavior to the White House.
Nobody will get us out of Afghanistan.
Nobody understands farm subsidies.
Nobody will spend your tax dollars wisely.
Nobody feels your pain.
Nobody wants to give peace a chance.
Nobody predicted the Iraq War would be a disaster.
Nobody expected the levees to fail.
Nobody warned that the housing bubble would collapse.
Nobody will reform Wall Street.
Nobody will stand up for what’s right.
Nobody will be your voice.
Nobody will tell you what the others won’t.
Nobody has a handle on this.
Nobody, but you, that is.
Never forget, a small group of people can change the
world.
No one else ever has.

What matters now - ENOUGH

Sometimes, I forget to eat lunch. So, 3:30 arrives, and I attack an infant-sized hillock of greasy takeout. I inhale it, scarcely breathing, a condemned man with minutes ‘til dawn.

Two minutes after stopping, yes; I feel like I’m going to die. Filled with regret and shrimp-induced torpor, I groan the empty promise of the glutton: “never again.”

What happened? How’d I miss when I’d had enough? I wonder the same thing about folks who check for new email every 5 minutes, follow 5,000 people on Twitter, or try to do anything sane with 500 RSS feeds.

Some graze unlimited bowls of information by choice. Others claim it’s a necessity of remaining employed, landing sales, or “staying in the loop.” Could be. What about you?

How do you know when you’ve had “enough?” Not everything, all the time, completely, forever. Just enough. Enough to start, finish, or simply maintain. Unfortunately, foodbabies only appear after it’s too late. And, if your satiety’s gauged solely by whether the buffet’s still open, you’re screwed.

Like the hypothalamus-damaged rat, you’ll eat until you die. Before the next buffet trip, consider asking, “How do I know what I need to know — just for now?” then savor every bite.

To be like a river flowing

Paulo Coelho

“A river never passes the same place twice,” says a philosopher. “Life is like a river,” says another philosopher, and we draw the conclusion that this is the metaphor that comes closest to the meaning of life. Consequently, it is always good to remember during all the year to come:

A] We are always doing things for the first time. While we move between our source (birth) to our destination (death), the landscape will always be new. We should face these novelties with joy, not with fear – because it is useless to fear what cannot be avoided. A river never stops running.

B] In a valley we walk slower. When everything around us becomes easier, the waters grow calm, we become more open, fuller and more generous.

C] Our banks are always fertile. Vegetation only grows where there is water. Whoever comes into contact with us needs to understand that we are there to give the thirsty something to drink.

D] Stones should be avoided. It is obvious that water is stronger than granite, but it takes time for this to happen. It is no good letting yourself be overcome by stronger obstacles, or trying to fight against them – that is a useless waste of energy. It is best to understand where the way out is, and then move forward.

E] Hollows call for patience. All of a sudden the river enters a sort of hole and stops running as joyfully as before. At such moments the only way out is to count on the help of time. When the right moment comes the hollow fills up and the water can flow ahead. In the place of the ugly, lifeless hole there now stands a lake that others can contemplate with joy.

F] We are one. We were born in a place that was meant for us, which will always keep us supplied with enough water so that when confronted with obstacles or depression we have the necessary patience or strength to move forward. We begin our course in a soft and fragile manner, where even a simple leaf can stop us. Nevertheless, as we respect the mystery of the source that gave us life, and trust in His eternal wisdom, little by little we gain all that we need to pursue our path.

G] Although we are one, soon we shall be many. As we travel on, the waters of other springs come closer, because that is the best path to follow. Then we are no longer just one, but many – and there comes a moment when we feel lost. However, as the Bible says, “all rivers flow to the sea.” It is impossible to remain in our solitude, no matter how romantic that may seem. When we accept the inevitable encounter with other springs, we eventually understand that this makes us much stronger, we get around obstacles or fill in the hollows in far less time and with greater ease.

H] We are a means of transportation. Of leaves, boats, ideas. May our waters always be generous, may be always be able to carry ahead everything or everyone that needs our help.

I] We are a source of inspiration. And so, let us leave the final words to the Brazilian poet, Manuel Bandeira:

“To be like a river that flows
silent through the night,
not fearing the darkness and
reflecting any stars high in the sky.

And if the sky is filled with clouds,
the clouds are water like the river, so
without remorse reflect them too

The story of the pencil

A boy was watching his grandmother write a letter. At one point he asked:

‘Are you writing a story about what we’ve done? Is it a story about me?’
His grandmother stopped writing her letter and said to her grandson:

I am writing about you, actually, but more important than the words is the pencil I’m using. I hope you will be like this pencil when you grow up.’

Intrigued, the boy looked at the pencil. It didn’t seem very special.
‘But it’s just like any other pencil I’ve ever seen!’

‘That depends on how you look at things. It has five qualities which, if you manage to hang on them, will make you a person who is always at peace with the world.’

  1. ‘First quality: you are capable of great things, but you must never forget that there is a hand guiding your steps. We call that hand God, and He always guides us according to His will.’
  2. ‘Second quality: now and then, I have to stop writing and use a sharpener. That makes the pencil suffer a little, but afterwards, he’s much sharper. So you, too, must learn to bear certain pains and sorrows, because they will make you a better person.
  3. ‘Third quality: the pencil always allows us to use an eraser to rub out any mistakes. This means that correcting something we did is not necessarily a bad thing; it helps to keep us on the road to justice.’
  4. ‘Fourth quality: what really matters in a pencil is not its wooden exterior, but the graphite inside. So always pay attention to what is happening inside you.’
    ‘Finally,
  5. the pencil’s fifth quality: it always leaves a mark. in just the same way, you should know that everything you do in life will leave a mark, so try to be conscious of that in your every action’

From “Like the Flowing River” by Paulo Coelho

How much do you know about Creative Commons?

Creative commons a popular term and its slogan some rights reserved we see it all the time but very few bothered to check what creative commons means and its background .Because of CC now we can use amazing photos from flickr and other sites legally and data from Wikipedia as we want .logo_cc_trademark

In their own words

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization

We work to increase the amount of creativity (cultural, educational, and scientific content) in “the commons” — the body of work that is available to the public for free and legal sharing, use, repurposing, and remixing.

There are six major licenses of the Creative Commons:

  1. Attribution (CC-BY)
  2. Attribution Share Alike (CC-BY-SA)
  3. Attribution No Derivatives (CC-BY-ND)
  4. Attribution Non-Commercial (CC-BY-NC)
  5. Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike (CC-BY-NC-SA)
  6. Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives (CC-BY-NC-ND)

There are four major conditions of the Creative Commons:

  1. Attribution (BY), requiring attribution to the original author;
  2. Share Alike (SA), allowing derivative works under the same or a similar license (later or jurisdiction version);
  3. Non-Commercial (NC), requiring the work is not used for commercial purposes;
  4. and No Derivative Works (ND), allowing only the original work, with out derivatives

So next time you going to use some one else’s data check whether it is under cc or not and also now you know what type of license exist and you know what to do!

About the Company: Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses for free to the public. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. Wikipedia is one of the notable web-based projects using one of its licenses.

Creative Commons licenses are international — over 80 countries have their own CC projects — and something licensed under CC in the USA can be combined with Israeli, Indian, Brazilian, Spanish, British, South African and German CC works without violating the terms of any of their licenses.

Places To Find Creative Commons Media

  1. Archive.org: Most people only think of Archive.org for the Way back Machine, but it also offers up a huge selection of audio, video and text documents under the Creative Commons license.
  2. Creative Commons.org Search: The search at Creative Commons.org allows you to choose which type of license you want to search for, and then you can search on Blip.TV, Flickr, Google, and Yahoo all from one easy interface.

Your Twitter vs MY GOD

I use many social networking sites and micro blogging services to stay in touch with friends though not an addict to these sites i know how to stay in touch with friends and twitter is a amazing way to stay in touch with friends also to make new friends.

It allows you 140 characters to share some thing ,almost we use same number of characters to pray god in “bad/sad”times… we pray short and sweet just like a tweet various kinds of prayerstwitter

  1. Oh! God, Help me?
  2. please help me pass the exam i will offer(bribe) you some thing
  3. we pray for tickets, babes, bikes, traffic jams and signals
  4. when a phone rings, door knocks ,when your boss want to see you.
  5. we pray for Monday to turn into Saturday soon

in fact it is easy to create a list of thing for which we don't pray than to create a list for what we pray, most of the times they are small less than 140 characters. though twitter came to scene recently , mankind used it for centauries our ancestors knew it and used it effectively  and most of them are still @mentioned and olden times some of them even got Dm from @GOD .

Twitter = Every body shouting – somebody/nobody listening .

GOD = every body shouting +every thing listened .

grant-praying-hands

See the difference and finally what i want to say is twitter is Very fun ,exiting and new and even I am a Twitter addict, Twitter is up to a limit and god is every where, spend at least 25% of time daily for God and Fellow humans of the total time you spend on twitter daily.

We know how to stay in touch with friends but we also need to stay in touch with our /your god … ok that's is Folks.

Hope you liked this article please considering subscribing to this blog for more such articles and what do you think about this article please have your say in comments amigos Gracias.

does what matters most ? really Matters?

Life is the most gibberish thing ever happened to me! yes really life is most Gibberish thing ,no dictionary gives me a correct meaning and no two persons will ever agree on certain definition of life.one wise may said it in three words “It Goes On”.but he did not say where and why ?.

your life is different from my life and  still we both have life, can some body tell me what life is?really  that is the most disgusting question you will ever hear, yeah that is true know why ?God sent you to this green/blue planet for some reason .and that is definitely not to ask questions but to do things. Many of you will not agree with me on this point .

Doing is 100 times better than saying , you can sit there keep on thinking about a million things and spend whole life doing nothing or break the rules and do some thing new, risky ,and real.do you read books ,I mean really good books ,Biographies especially ,all those are doers not Sayers.

Many people in world will have cancer and it is a kind of common thing, but how often you will get a chance of reading a biography of a cancer patient ,who was declared almost dead but over comes it and definitely that is a miracle but he raised to such heights giving new definition to miracle by winning tour de France after all this. Now that's some thing out of box right no one would have even discussed about him If he recovered and just gave speeches how he recovered , he is Lance Armstrong  3577802513_02231aa10b_m . He won not only tour de France for 7 times but also hearts of millions by performing.

So every person on life will listen to his own drummer and dance to his tunes ,are you listening to your drummer and dancing or sitting in your cubicle living life of a some one else.what matters most in your life is YOU! and nothing else.

You are born to be happy and make others happy, real pleasure in life is in small things not in having a big house or car.Money is definitely a Filthy thing ,all earthly pleasures are supposed to make you happy not slave ! you are becoming slave to buy a new house, car, and so on.

your problems are not problems at all ,your sorrows are not sorrows ,there are no mistakes in life every thing happens for a reason and purpose and nothing in your life will ever happen which is not supposed to happen to you.Even you reading this blog post has some thing to do with your life .so what really matters really doesn't matter and all matters equally matters.

If you liked this article please share it with friends and family.I would like to know what you think about this article please give your valuable feedback through comments. Thank you.

Perceiving the invisible is not difficult

That god is formless and invisible is admitted nearly universally. Whereas few deny His existence, it is conceded that a direct access to the Almighty is just not possible. This explains why we visualise an image and adore and worship god through the same.

Kalpana or imagination is however, fundamentally unreal. It is a matter of one's belief and faith only. Moreover, one deity may differ from the other, representing a particular quality simply because the capacity of human imagination is limited and guided by one's own needs under different circumstances. This creates comparisons, with devotees rooting for one deity over another, and could cause friction among the different believers.

With the passage of time, the invisible and formless aspects of the conceived images could recede, leaving us with just symbols and idols and in turn perpetuate rites and rituals shorn of understanding.

Is God really invisible? Since god is believed to be omnipresent, it is said that if we wish to perceive him, we can see him in any object, animate or inanimate, and imagine his presence. This way, he is no longer invisible. This approach, however, does not take us out from the realm of the unreal. The strongest argument behind our conviction remains our own sense of belief, the sense of satisfaction that whatever we have imagined is beyond denial. We consider it as the manifestation of the supreme being, representing him in all his qualities and deserving genuinely the same reverence, adoration and worship as god himself.

Do we ultimately admit that we cannot perceive the formless one? Not really, for there must be some way to access the supreme truth. The only effort you need is to search for and approach a Master who has realised god and is capable of revealing him to others. He will take you out from the visible world, nature or creation and make you enter the invisible part of it, the divine realm of the all-pervading formless one. You will perceive the invisible formless one in you and all around you, all the time and everywhere in all circumstances.

Knowledge of god or brahmn gyan which is bestowed by the true master in his own divine grace is not in the nature of information only, it is in the sense of realisation. The true master takes the spiritual responsibility to act as a mediator between man and god. He sees to it that the link established by him between the formless one and his seeker produces a blissful state of being for the devotee. The believer is no longer confined to the web spun by his own imagination. He enjoys the company of the supreme being practically. He finds god, the formless one, in every object. He associates him in every action. He is always conscious of the 'changeless' in the 'changing'.

The true master takes the devotees above the images as well as the names of god. He links him with the one who has been given these numerous names. Naturally, the devotee rises above the disputes that afflict the man's mind on account of the variety of names assigned to the almighty. In fact he loves the religious faiths professing different names of god as the roads leading to his own destination, god.
