What leads to Success

This is part 2 of a series called what leads to success .and These are some very basic ideas to achieve success and wiht clear goal in mind backed by focus and concentration along with hard work any one acn achieve any thing .

1.Follow your Dream :

Just start following your dream one step at a time.one person can have Unlimited dreams ,filter out your most favorite ones.Like learning new languages, music instruments, travelling, dance, painting, reading, writing, blogging, and many more.these are small steps but will make a huge difference in life.

2.Talkers and Doers :

Great thinkers dreams are never fulfilled they are always Transcended .

Are you just one of those people who talk a lot and do very little ? Having all the wisdom and not moving a muscle to start is a complete waste of life .

Ideation with out execution is a mere delusion .Robin Sharma

So Don't just be a talker ,take the things in your own hands and start doing things ,you have power to move mountains just realize that and life will never be the same.

3. Passion :

No great thing was ever achieved without passion ,observed a thinker .A man with a passionate heart is the unstoppable force in the world ,Passion is the master key ,as Confucius  was asked how to think about old age, he said when I am passionately thinking about some thing ,I forget about  every thing in this world and age is nothing while i am passionate.

Passion can make you ,take a journey which you thought you could never make.Fill your heart and mind with your passion ,you will be standing with all the great people in this world.

4. Hard Work :

The harder I work ,luckier I get . I love that saying and I suggest you to take it seriously .There is nothing like hard work in this world, Zig Ziglar says The elevator to success is out of order and the steps(Hard Work) are always there .Hard work is the most promising and sure shot way to success.

5. Focus :

One needs to have focus on what he is doing, with focus and Concentration any task can be accomplished ,there is no Impossible talks to focused minds.Set goals and write them down in a small paper and read them daily ,feed it to your subconscious mind and read it before sleeping and after waking up .

This will help you maintain focus on the most important things in life .

6. keep Pushing :

Some times no matter how hard we try ,things seem to be out of range and we get discourage and disappointed ,these are the times one need to keep pushing things and never to give up. have the attitude of never ever give up. and those who keep on pushing irrespective of the obstacles are the ones who reaches unimaginable heights.

7. Innovate :

be a rebel and Idea box ,be proactive and Innovate your life. Just don't accept Ideas that some your way, question them ,every thing in life deserves a WHY ? .Take time daily to think about yourself, what you are doing ,how you are doing and how can improve the situation .

Have new ideas ,remember there is no box art all ,so leave the Box and Limitations thinking and create and innovate Give your ideas a go who knows you may be the next Steve Jobs .

8 .Sharpen your AXE :

According to Brain Tracy ,if you spend 3 % of what you earn back on your self to Improve skills and talents ,you will never ever have to worry about money or any thing again.Keep that Spark in you always burning ,be a student all the time and keep on learning new things and develop skills and this is a very key Idea.

Getting lucky is no Rocket science.

10 years ago I never ever believed the hard work concept ,like one needs to study to pass an exams was not my kind of thing. When exams comes its show time,Pray !Pray ! Pray ! and exams will be over soon and I forget about this episode and when its time for Results again Pray !Pray !Pray !.And when  results are announced with just passing marks, Bad luck ,that's what I used to say.

16  years it went on like this ,yeah was very proud of my self back then.Effort-hard work were rocket science back then.I gave up my self to concepts like destiny ,fate, and luck.not knowing what Life is all about It was one disastrous child hood.I wont blame any one  It is me who believed every thing that came my way and accepted them.

as the story of my life unfolded it revealed more beautiful things and secrets I never thought such  things existed. In this Journey my experience and view about life changed .

I was Lucky ,I am one of the most luckiest person on the planet.I completely believe it .Most of us are we Just don't realize it ,probably we are in the most luckiest of all civilizations and this is the most exiting time to be alive. From space technology to Medical advancements we are advancing in every direction possible.

When ever some one talks about a world class performer like Tiger Woods –Sachin Tendulkar they will say he is born with gifts ,that's why he perform like that.In fact every one is born with gifts ,only a few get  opportunity to unpack it and use them.

Effort is a choice, at least make it on purpose:says Seth Godin

1. Delete 120 minutes a day of 'spare time' from your life. This can include TV, reading the newspaper, commuting, wasting time in social networks and meetings. Up to you.

2. Spend the 120 minutes doing this instead:

  • Exercise for thirty minutes.
  • Read relevant non-fiction (trade magazines, journals, business books, blogs, etc.)
  • Send three thank you notes.
  • Learn new digital techniques (spreadsheet macros, Firefox shortcuts, productivity tools, graphic design, html coding)
  • Volunteer.
  • Blog for five minutes about something you learned.
  • Give a speech once a month about something you don't currently know a lot about.

3. Spend at least one weekend day doing absolutely nothing but being with people you love.

4. Only spend money, for one year, on things you absolutely need to get by. Save the rest, relentlessly.

If you somehow pulled this off, then six months from now, you would be the fittest, best rested, most intelligent, best funded and motivated person in your office or your field. You would know how to do things other people don't, you'd have a wider network and you'd be more focused.

It's entirely possible that this won't be sufficient, and you will continue to need better luck. But it's a lot more likely you'll get lucky, I bet.

Become the Leader You Were Meant to Be

"You cannot lead others until you have learned to lead yourself. Many have become victims of their circumstances rather than overcoming them, which leads to an addiction to excuses.” -- Robin Sharma

Posts by Robin Sharma

  1. Sharma: Make a Dent in the Universe
When I met the president of Israel, Shimon Peres, I asked him what he believed the purpose of life to be. He replied without hesitation, “to find a cause that’s larger than yourself and then to give your life to it.”
  2. Sharma: How Exercise Affects Leadership
You know I’m an evangelist for the idea of being ultra fit if you want to be the best of breed. Getting into world-class physical condition is one of the smartest moves you can make. Exercising will make you look better, feel stronger and fill you with boundless energy. Staying fit will even make you happier.
  3. Sharma: Avoid the 4 F’s Syndrome
Most training and learning doesn’t last. No stickiness. We attend a seminar and vow to transform our lives. We say we’ll be better parents, more effective leaders and wiser human beings. Two days later, it’s back to business as usual—seeing the negative, playing the victim and being cranky. The learning didn’t work because we didn’t change.
  4. Sharma: Work Hard, Get Lucky
That old line remains brilliantly true: “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” Life helps those who help themselves. I learned that one from personal experience.
  5. Sharma: The Time Tactics of Leaders
One of the things the best of the best in business (and life) do staggeringly well is they leverage time to create spectacular results. We all have the same amount of time in a day/month/life. Those who use it poorly live half lives. Those who use it well become superstars.
  6. Sharma: The 8 Forms of Wealth
In my mind, wealth and leadership aren’t just about making money. There are actually eight elements that you want to make sure are at world-class levels before you call yourself rich (and truly successful).
  7. The Deeper Your Relationships, The Stronger Your Leadership
Leadership is a people sport. The best of the best understand that people do business with people they like. People do business with people they trust, and people do business with those who make them feel special.
  8. Sharma: Turbulent Times Build Better Leaders
Victims recite problems. Leaders develop solutions. That might seem like common sense, but common sense is rarely common practice. One of the best moves you can make to “Lead Without a Title” is to train your brain to see every problem as an opportunity. And every setback as a steppingstone to build your skill, access more of your talent and create more exceptional value for your customers.
  9. Sharma: How to Do World-Class Work
Leadership no longer has to do with the title on your business card. In this age of deep disruption, the new way to lead has everything to do with how powerfully you influence, how brilliantly you work and how superbly you collaborate. Your position matters less than your passion. Your rank matters less than your willingness to go the extra mile in all you do, and to wow each of the stakeholders lucky enough to cross your path.
  10. Sharma: Leadership 2.0 The New Way to Win
The old model of leadership is obsolete. Businesses that were once admired have crumbled. Leaders who were once revered (in fields ranging from commerce to sports) have lost face. The respect for Wall Street has been replaced by a renewed passion for Main Street. And with it, has come a completely new way to lead.
  11. Become the Leader You Were Meant to Be
When it came time for Robin Sharma to carve out a life for himself, becoming a lawyer seemed right. Although he had loving parents, there was never abundance during his childhood, and he was determined to find a way to prosper as an adult. His life as a litigation lawyer provided money, status and all the trappings of the success he envisioned. But Sharma felt something was missing—that a vital part of him was silently starving to death.

How To Create a World Class Day

This is a vlog from Robin Sharma ,he encourages you to have a world class start in the morning to have a wonderful day and this video is full of  very useful suggestions in it :

How To Create a World Class Day

Don't think like THAT !

Don't think like that .that's my inner voice or self talk that is the most common response i get when I listen to peoples opinion and their thoughts.of course i never tell them that they are thinking in a wrong way ,i really some times feel bad for them.

In common observation i realized one thing we are our worst enemy.there is not a single enemy out there we are our worst nightmare and Irony is that most of the people will never realize this.and never going to accept this.

Always remember there is nothing good or bad, love or hate ,relation or just casual ,greed or jealousy, lust or love all these are a state of mind and they are Thoughts.

A man is what he thinks. This present thinking will be come you in your future and this thought in your past has created your future you.it may sound confusing ,may be because of my Bad English, again these are not three different things they are just one thing in 3 different views.

Every thing in life is  thoughts and nothing more, Thoughts have Unparallel power in making or breaking you. When one understands the power of thoughts he will fear to think in a negative or bad ways.even for a second.

Don't think like that

Life is Wonderful and beautiful and it only cherish by good thoughts,Read Dhammapada or James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh.your life will never be the same.

Some real life advises :

1. Never Discourage any one : no matter how slow or bad he is doing as long as he is doing it never ever utter a single discouraging or negative word.It Improves your character.

2. Don't talk about a 3rd Party : I know its our favorite thing as humans and hard to follow this point ,but try as much as possible not to talk about a 3rd person ,Its not good to talk about a person ,most of times its counting his negative points and it is not ethical to talk about him when he is not there.

3.Avoid Wasteful Talk : most of time when we meet friends ,we talk about people who are not present there and all the negative things we see and the gibberish talks goes on and on with out ending ,try to avoid talks like this.

4.Avoid Advising Limitations : You cannot do this, its too hard for you, no one ever was able to do that ,and the limitation advises goes on,Stop acting as all-knowing almighty , When a man wants to do some thing in life ,if possible try to help him but never set limits. The other side of coin is as you allow the thoughts of limitations in your mind ,you not only discourage them but also set limits in your own life too.

5.Avoid Assumptions : Assumption is a thought, avoid it .never ever make an assumption in life ,it may be simple case of suddenly when you are talking on phone the other person hung up ,then our mind starts making a unwanted assumptions ,just to satisfy our curiosity of why he or she hung up ? .Making assumptions is a bad thing but with some exceptions.

You might wonder the link between Don't think like that and the above 5 points, these are most common reasons how we spread negativity in life of others, this weed is every where and once you start destroying this weed one step at a time, you optimism grows, you will realize how good it feels to encourage some one or how good it is only to think right thoughts.

Once you stop all the routes  for negativity in your thinking automatically you are making way for a happy positive life.

    How to Set Goals ?

The next time somebody tells you that setting goals is really a lot of hype, tell him this: if life is a journey, how will you get there if you don’t have an itinerary? Goals tell you where you are going, how you are going to get there and what you will do when you get there.
You have to decide what you want first of all. The problem with so many people is that they do not know what they really want. In other words they are not at all clear about what they want in life. Setting your goals, needs you to make a decision about that which you want, and determine when you want to have achieved that thing. In other words you must put a deadline to what you currently want. Get clear about what you want.
Have a good plan of attack. Ask yourself:
    • What do I know about this?
    • What information do I have?
    • What information do I need? Where can I get it?
    • What skills do I need to master?
    • What other resources should I use?
    • Is this the best way to do it, or is there some other way?
3 Start small, but keep walking. Goals don’t necessarily have to be big ones. When you set your goal too high, you might find it too overwhelming and time consuming and just give up, or make another one, just as big. It’s akin to quitting cold turkey – there are setbacks.
4 Set goals in small increments, complete with time, dates, amount, some details. If you tell yourself, “I’m going to be an opera singer” and then sit around and wait for it to suddenly happen, you could be waiting all your life. Start with singing lessons for a month, and then a year and expose yourself to opera music. You can then progress to more singing lessons year after year. By breaking down your goals in smaller, workable units, you are more likely to make them come true. Remember, even the great ones had to start somewhere.
5 Be positive when stating your goals. Instead of saying, “I am not going to miss my exercise routine today,” say “I’m really busy, so I’ll probably just make time for 20 minutes on the treadmill.” Stating your goal positively will help you view it as a good thing to do, and not as a byproduct of what you had to avoid.
6 Spread out your goals. So maybe we do have certain general goals that apply to all areas of our lives like, “I want to be successful” or “I want to be rich” but those would seem as far away as the Niagara Falls viewed from Hawaii. Instead, try making tiny goals for different aspects of your life, one or two for each, even more if you like. These areas are: family and home, career, social, physical, mental and spiritual. If you say, “I want to be a successful dad,” then try to make goals towards the development of your family life while still keeping an eye out for ways to improve your career and other areas of your life.
7 Don’t underestimate yourself. It’s tempting to sometimes just slack off, or let yourself off too easy. If you want to write the definitive American novel, then don’t try to churn out just a page or two a day when you know you are more than capable of writing five pages, even ten. The fear of failure is sometimes to blame for setting our goals too low. How often have we said, “I don’t really want to volunteer for that project ‘cause I might screw it up. And then my colleagues will make fun of me.”
8 Remember that some fears are unfounded. How do you know you’ll actually ruin it? And how do you know for sure your coworkers will laugh at your effort? If you try to reason with your fears, more often than not, you’ll realize that there really is no reason for you to be reluctant and that in fact, you can do it.
9 Write it down. Putting your A list of long term goals, arranged as stepping-stones.goal down on paper is more than just memorizing it. You are actually confirming your willingness to make it come true. A written list of goals is an effective reminder of what you need to do and once you’re done, a good review of your accomplishment. A simple list on a piece of notebook paper is fine, or using a computer program to really jazz it up works just as well. You may want to hang it up somewhere, as a constant reminder to work toward your goals: inside your closet, the back of your medicine cabinet door, or on your bulletin board near your desk.
10 Affirm it. Affirmation is really more than writing down, “I am going to buy my $750,000 home by Christmas” twenty times. It’s actually being conscious not only of your thought processes, but also of your acts during the day.
11 If you’re trying to save money and then you pass by a shop window where a great pair of shoes seems to have your name on it, think, “If I buy those shoes, would I be making my goal of saving easier? Will I be able to meet my deadline if I splurge just this once? A few months from now if I don’t meet my deadline because I didn't save enough, would I feel good about it?”
12 Stop procrastinating. So you’ve heard this before. Big deal. Well, it is. Time wastage is one of the greatest crimes in history. If Henry Ford put off studying and tinkering with machines for another time, someone else would have improved on automobiles and he wouldn't have gone down in history as a pioneer. If you’re used to procrastination, being bullheaded about a goal can seem scary at first. Try to set a schedule and then reward yourself each time you meet it.
13 Start inculcating the habit of liking something. The most difficult thing is to LIKE something useful. For example we may like that particular model, star, lazing around with friends, to impress the opposite sex etc...but do they give us any long term returns? They just look jazzy for a small period of time and again life is as usual, that which has no achievement. .Our mind generally rejects any conscious attempt to focus on any worthwhile goal. Some really lucky souls subconsciously liked these worthwhile goals and made it big. Many of us focus subconsciously on these petty things such as entertainment, celebrities etc...and when time comes for focusing on big ones we back out because we have an already loaded negative image of that goal. It is simply a misinterpreted relativity. No reason to feel worthless before a big goal just because we have been LIKING petty goals. You need to think big, when you are setting goals, think great thoughts. You must also crystallize your thinking, make it clear to you first, then write it down.
14 Plan ahead, so you can get ahead. Source : Set Goals

What keeps you away from Success ?

This is Part 1 of a series called What leads to Success and This Post I want to concentrate on What keeps you away from success ,If one knows what is denting his potential it is easy to over come that .One cannot hit a target one cannot see ,so if you don't know what your problem how can you over come it ?

“success is more complex than failure”

    Here are some points :

    Fear :

The most Important and Universally applied law . This is the most important Factor  why people are not successful and It also have many sub categories also This single term is keeping you at bay . its like a invisible handcuff and many people don't even realize this The first step to success is Starting and taking the first step and Fear is what makes you not take that first step.

Fear is a Poison it kills your confidence slowly  ,every one have their own fears ,even the most successful ones ,no one is exception, but the point is how you overcome it makes all the difference. Most common reaction when we realize we have a fear is to run away from it .let us see some Sisters and brothers of Fear .

    Fear of Opinions :

Some times we value others opinions more than what our heart says and blindly follow others opinions and advises and this leads to complete chaos and we have a fear of what others might react how they will receive you and so on .many people live in false world of reputation and social pride which is not worth a penny

    Fear of Failure :

Its easy to fail and it is much easier to fail the first time and much much better decision you make at this moment is to quit.It all sound so simple and real doesn't it ,many of us do this and some times the best option may be to quit but its not the best opinion all the times.

When we fear the failure and if we decide to quit because of failure at this time we are becoming real failures .

The only man who never makes mistakes is the man who never does anything. Theodore Roosevelt

    Fear of Obstacles :

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.Seneca

If we fear they may come in our path that's the invitation we are sending them to come into our path and they will come.there is no road or path that you take will not have obstacles ,the best road to take is the path with more and more obstacles .because you will be a better you after crossing them.

    Fear of Change :

We all know Change is the only constant in this world ,and also know we take every thing in life for granted .that is what makes us afraid of change,if we are not ready to change for good we are not going to grow,as Albert Einstein said solution to a problem cannot be achieved in the same state of mind where we started or in the same paradigm .

    Lack of Confidence :

Lack of confidence and faith in one self is a major problem and it is one of the key factors which decides your life and this is a serious issue to be dealt with .Easily it is one of the most popular reasons which is keeping you away from your success.Every day in our day to day activities it is the key ingredient .Having a low levels of confidence is a serious problem, but gladly one can overcome it .

    Your Surroundings :

You want success so badly ,but some thing is stopping it ,check around may be its your surroundings or people around me ,surroundings have great role to play whether one will achieve success or not .Encouragement or discouragement both comes from people around us .so May be naysayers or pessimists around you are stopping you from achieving your success .

    Too many options :

May be you have too many options to take and chasing too many dreams is not such a good idea. when your energies are divided to too many objects you cannot focus on a particular thing .so if you are not reaching your goals you have to blame yourself and no one else.reduce your options and think what you want the most in life .

    Distractions :

what ever job or work we do we all face this problem of distractions .Distractions are the most common and it is up to us to get distracted or not.Now with increased technology and social life options to get distracted are increasing and we must analyze what is more important to get distracted or not.

    Lack of Discipline :

Undisputedly this is vey important issue all successful people are very self disciplined and punctual in what ever they do and no discipline no success it is as simple as this .With disciple which roughly translates to daily practice  makes you perfect .

    Staying in Darkness :

Darkness is ignorance and lack ok knowledge and wisdom and this is the king of reasons why you are staying away from your success and Practically one can overcome this also.If you have proper knowledge darkness wont even dare to come to your life.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently. Henry Ford

    Invisible Fence :

We all have Invisible fences in life, Physiological barrier .One cannot do this, cannot do that and that is limit we are setting upon our self and once you set a limit ,that's the end of story.I cannot write this kind of post ,I cannot pass this exam ,limit it and you cannot or will not pass it.

We all have this in life ,once we start setting limits on daily activates slowly it will pass on to life and every thing we do in it.

    Not Asking :

This may sound funny but,Asking makes a Lot of difference your life.Asking powerful questions and asking right questions will make a huge Impact in life so if you are not exercising that asking muscle you are not in the right path. There is a book dedicated completely to tell you every thing about Asking ,trust me I read it and its completely worth .

    Character and Ethics :

Remember the saying any one can reach the top but only people with good character stays there , i am not saying if one did not reach success he have a bad character ,I am saying if ones is good he can be better ,there is always room for Perfection, when your character and ethical views are good ,you cannot stay in failure for long.

    Excuses for every thing :

I once read a wisdom lines ,it goes some thing like this ,Argue for your excuses and they will be yours .When we have lot of excuses for every thing in life ,our life will become an excuse. are you giving too many excuses think about that.

    Lack of Action  :

No matter what your fears, abilities and skills are this one thing ACTION will make huge difference,Action is what makes thing rolling,if one doesn't take steps to move things ,every thing else will fail,What is the use of a diamond in a coal mine ??? Who will recognize it ?

These are some points that came to my mind and I hope these are just a few ,In real life there are Hundreds of factors ,they change from person to person ,what may not be seem to be a problem for you or fear for you may look like a mountain of problem for others.I tried to write down this post in a broad sense.

What are the things that keep you from your success ,share your thoughts and Opinions please give your feed back in the comments section below.

How Neal Stephenson's Typewriter Kept Him Writing

Author of Snow Crash, Cryptonomicon and other geeky tomes Neal Stephenson described how he wrote his first book at a 2003 USENIX keynote speech. After an editor accepted his book proposal, Stephenson had to complete the manuscript quickly:

With all his vacation time and the 4th of July holiday there were 10 days, in which to write a novel. He rented a modern typewriter, secluded himself in his apartment and started to type. Soon a problem appeared: the typewriter had a modern plastic ribbon. The plastic mellowed and became sticky: it was July in Iowa City, and the apartment was hot. The only way to prevent the ribbon from getting stuck is to keep the ribbon moving. And the only way to keep the ribbon moving is to keep pressing the keys.

That discovery did wonders for his productivity. He didn't have time to think: he had to keep pressing the keys and write the first thing that came into his mind.

Twenty years later not many of us are tapping away on old school typewriters, but this is still a pretty great story of productivity by necessity.

Take 18 Minutes to Keep Your Days on Track

According to the Harvard Business blog, you can organize an eight-hour work day and keep it on track by creating a ritual that'll only take a total of 18 minutes each day.

Harvard Business blog's Peter Bregman outlines three steps on how to avoid those days when you can barely remember what you intended to accomplish by the time you reach for your keyboard:

STEP 1 (5 Minutes) Set Plan for Day.
STEP 2 (1 minute every hour) Refocus..
    STEP 3 (5 Minutes) Review.

Basically, you'll start the day off right by grabbing a sheet of paper and writing down the goals which you can realistically accomplish that day. The important part is to immediately assign time slots to those tasks by order of importance and difficulty because these designated times make you more likely to accomplish your goals and give you a way of tracking your progress once every hour. At the end of the work day, you'll take a few minutes to review not just the last hour, but the entire day. Did you stay on track? What can you do differently tomorrow to retain or improve your productivity?

Check out the full details on this time management ritual on the Harvard Business blog and tell us about how you organize your days and prevent slumps in productivity. Do you have a ritual or do you fly by the seat of your pants and hope for the best? Share your workday time management successes (or failures) in the comments.

A lesson for a life time from Benjamin Franklin

    Daily routine of benjamin frnaklin

The precept of Order requiring that every part of my business should have its allotted time, one page in my little book contained the following scheme of employment for the twenty-four hours of a natural day. from : The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin.

Daily Routines Details the Productivity Habits of Famous Folks

Daily Routines is a blog that does nice work of compiling accounts of how famous minds—great, inspired, slothful, procrastination-prone, and otherwise—set about their tasks.

All the quotes and anecdotes come from linked interviews, biographies, or other accounts, and while the workers covered tend toward the creative side, there's a few mathematicians, architects, and other left-brainers.

Definitely worth a read if you feel like your own work routine could use a reboot, or you just need reassurance that even Kafka—okay, especially Kafka—found it hard to just sit down and write.

What is Success ? What Leads to Success ?

I haven’t Seen a person who said I don't want success or don't want to be successful ,but what success is I am leaving it up to you.also every individual sees it depending on his capabilities of mind set to be precise. Some one sees it as raising a family fulfilling all their requirements, student sees it as getting good grades and admission in desired colleges. For employee its getting promotion and getting appraisal .

But what ever your definition of success is you need to do certain things to achieve success. As they say it to have some thing you never had you have to do some thing never did. this is a simple saying but have a lot of meaning in it .think about it for a minute.

“What ever your mind  can conceive and believe it can achieve.” – Napoleon hill

Success requires no explanations , failure permits and no alibis. why you need success is the most important thing which will decide whether you will get it or not.Because if your desire ,ambition is not backed by a proper reason your success will only be Temporary.

Every thing is life deserves a why ?

Why Is success not in your hands ,even though you deserve it ? What are the mistakes or factors that are Keeping you and your Success at bay?Every One knows Success is on the Top of Life Mountain ,but…

What takes him there is a completely different story.Every one dreams but only a few wake up and work towards achieving it.no matter how big or small it is you can achieve it .Don't let  any body tell you different.and this is some serious stuff  you need to think about.

When you announce to your friends or family that you want to be some one or you want to do some thing ,what will be the first thing you will get. Encouragement I seriously doubt that , not every one will be lucky like Sachin Tendulkar or Tiger Woods who are the most successful people in their era in their respective field who got encouragement from a very young age.so

When angels talk : Conversation in heaven

Abd Mubarak was on his way to Mecca when one night he dreamed that he was in heaven and heard two angels having a conversation.

“How many pilgrims came to the holy city this year?” one of them asked.

“Six hundred thousand”, answered the other.

“And how many of them had their pilgrimage accepted?”

“None of them. However, in Baghdad there is a shoemaker called Ali Mufiq who did not make the pilgrimage, but did have his pilgrimage accepted, and his graces benefited the 600,000 pilgrims”.

When he woke up, Abd Mubarak went to Mufiq’s shoe shop and told him his dream.

“At great cost and much sacrifice, I finally managed to get 350 coins together”, the shoemaker said in tears. “But then, when I was ready to go to Mecca I discovered that my neighbors were hungry, so I distributed the money among them and gave up my pilgrimage”.

    The Problem of Others

There was once a well-known scholar, who lived in a mountain in the Himalayas. Tired of living with men, he had chosen a simple life and spent most of his time meditating.

His fame, however, was so great that people were willing to walk narrow paths, climb steep hills, swim rivers - to meet the holy man who was believed to be able to resolve any trouble of the human heart.

The wise man, as he was full of compassion, gave some advice here and there, but kept trying to get rid of unwanted visitors. Still, they appeared in larger groups, and once a day a crowd knocked on his door, saying that great stories about him were published in their local newspaper and that everyone was sure he knew how to overcome the difficulties of their lives.

The wise man said nothing but asked them to sit and wait. Three days passed, and more people arrived. When there was no room for anyone else, he addressed the people who were outside his door.

“Today I will give the answer that everyone wants. But you must promise that, to have your problems solved, you will not tell the new pilgrims that I moved here - so that you can continue to live in the solitude you so much crave. Men and women have made a sacred oath that if the wise fulfilled their promises, they would not let any more pilgrims climb the mountain.”

“Tell me your problems,” said the sage.

Someone began to speak, but was soon interrupted by others, as everyone knew that this was the last public hearing that the holy man was giving, and they feared that he wouldn’t have the time to listen to all of them. Minutes later, confusion was created, many voices were shouting at the same time, people were crying, men and women were tearing their hair out in despair because it was impossible to hear.

The wise man let the situation be prolonged a little, until he cried, “Silence!”

    The crowd fell silent immediately.

“Write your problems down and put the papers in front of me,” he said.

When everyone finished, the wise man mixed all the papers in a basket, then said, “Keep this basket moving amongst you. Each of you will take a paper, and read it. You will then choose whether to keep your problems, or take the one given to you.”

Each person took a sheet of paper, read it, and was horrified. They concluded that what they had written, however bad it was, was not as serious as what ailed his neighbor. Two hours later, they exchanged papers amongst themselves, and each one had to put their personal problems back into his or her pocket, relieved that their distress was not as hard as they once thought.

Grateful for the lesson, they went down the mountain with the certainty that they were happier than all the others, and - fulfilling the promise made - never let anyone disturb the peace of the holy man.

    Stories about arrogance

Arrogance is a Partial blindness ,it makes us some thing which we are not,it may be for a moment or for a life time its effects are eternal and Knowing you have arrogance is the first step one can take to control it or remove it .

Arrogance cost us dearly and Here are some wonderful stories about arrogance.

    The arrogance of power

The master and his disciple were talking at a street corner when an old woman came up to them:

“Get away from my window!” shouted the old lady. “You are disturbing the customers”. The master apologized and crossed over to the other sidewalk.

They went on talking until an officer came up to them and said:

“We need you to move away from this sidewalk. The count will be passing by here in a few moments”.

“Let him use the other side of the street”, answered the master, without moving.

Then he turned to his disciple and told him: “Don’t forget: never be arrogant to the humble. And never be humble to the arrogant.”

    The arrogance of sanctity

The Zen monk spent ten years meditating in his cave, trying to find out the path to the Truth. While he was praying one afternoon, a monkey came up to him. The monk tried to concentrate, but the monkey drew closer and seized the monk’s sandal.

“Damned monkey!” said the hermit. “Why have you come to disturb my prayers?”

    “I’m hungry,” said the monkey.

“Go away! You are disturbing my communicating with God!”

“How can you talk to God if you cannot manage to communicate with humble creatures like me?” said the monkey.

And the monk apologized, feeling ashamed.

    The arrogance of force

The village was threatened by a tribe of barbarians. The inhabitants were abandoning their houses and fleeing to a safer place. At the end of a year they had all left – except a group of Jesuits.

The army of barbarians entered the city without any resistance and held a great feast to commemorate the victory. In the middle of the dinner a priest appeared.

“You came in here and drove out peace. I beg you to leave at once.”

“Why haven’t you fled yet?” shouted the chief of the barbarians. “Don’t you see that I can run you through with my sword without blinking an eye?”

    The priest answered calmly:

“Don’t you see that I can be run through by a sword without blinking an eye?”

Surprised by such serenity before death, the chief of the barbarians and his tribe abandoned the place the next day.

    The arrogance of envy

In the Syrian desert, Satan told his disciples: “Human beings are always more concerned about wishing evil on others than doing good to themselves”.

And to demonstrate what he was saying, he decided to test two men who were resting nearby.

“I have come to make your wishes come true”, he said to one of them. “Whatever you want will be given to you. Your friend will receive the same thing – except double”.

The man remained in silence for a long while, and then he finally said:

“My friend is content because he will have double, no matter what my wish is. But I have prepared a trap for him: my wish is that you make me blind in one eye”.

Arrogance is one of the most deadly sins.

there is a story of the Persian army attacking the city of Sparta with 1 million men.

at that moment in time there were 300 soldiers in Sparta.as one Persian leader said “the thousand nations of the Persian empire descend upon you , this is madness” . the Spartans replied “the Spartans that on this hill We lie obedient to them still.”

the Spartans held a gorge for 3 days whilst the other Greek states gathered up an army to fight the Persians. the arrogance of Persia cost them there greatest army .(We all saw 300 movie right)

What adults can learn from kids

A voracious reader from age three, Adora Svitak's first serious foray into writing -- at age five -- was limited only by her handwriting and spelling. (Her astonishing verbal abilities already matched that of young adults over twice her age.) As her official bio says, her breakthrough would soon come "in the form of a used Dell laptop her mother bought her." At age seven, she typed out over 250,000 words -- poetry, short stories, observations about the world -- in a single year.

Svitak has since fashioned her beyond-her-years wordsmithing into an inspiring campaign for literacy -- speaking across the country to both adults and kids. She is author of Flying Fingers, a book on learning.

    In Search of the Dream

We all have dreams and only few of us decide to follow those dreams and to all those brave souls who fearlessly follow those dreams no matter what and Persist in their path and finally reach their goals this post is dedicated to all those dreamers.

And Here are 4 wisdoms filled short stories or snippets which tells the concepts involved in Following one’s dream and we some times face doubt whether  to follow our dreams and can I reach my dreams ,the first story clears your doubt of whether your risk is worth or not.Is the price you pay for following your dreams is worth ?

Hope you like these stories and hope they will help you in your path. Thanks to Paulo Coelho you can visit his blog .

    The risky climb

In the middle of a storm, a pilgrim reaches an inn and the owner asks where he is going.

“I’m going to the mountains,” he answers.

“Forget it,” says the innkeeper, “it’s a risky climb, and the weather is awful.”

“But I’m going up,” answers the pilgrim, “if my heart gets there first, it will be easy to follow it with my body.”

    What’s the price?

“Is the price of living a dream much higher than the price of living without daring to dream?” asked the disciple.

The master took him to a clothes store. There, he asked him to try on a suit in exactly his size. The disciple obeyed, and was very amazed at the quality of the clothes.

Then the master asked him to try on the same suit – but this time a size much bigger than his own. The disciple did as he was asked.

“This one is no use. It’s too big.”

“How much are these suits?” the master asked the shop attendant.

“They both cost the same price. It’s just the size that is different.”

When leaving the store, the master told his disciple, “Living your dream or giving it up also costs the same price, which is usually very high. But the first lets us share the miracle of life, and the second is of no use to us.”

    The Search of the Path

“I am willing to leave everything. Please, take me as a disciple.”

“How does a man choose his Path?”

“Through sacrifice. A path that demands sacrifice is a true path.”

The abbot bumped into a bookcase. A very rare vase fell down and the young man threw himself to the floor to pick it up. He fell the wrong way and broke his arm. But he was able to save the vase.

“Which sacrifice is greater, to see the vase breaking down our breaking an arm to save it?”

    “I don’t know.”

“So then, do not try to guide your choice through sacrifice. The path is chosen by our capacity of compromising with each step we make while we walk.”

    The Drunkard Disciple

A Zen master had hundreds of disciples. They all prayed at the right time, except one, who was always drunk.

The master was growing old. Some of the more virtuous pupils began to wonder who would be the new leader of the group, the one who would receive the important secrets of the Tradition.

On the eve of his death, however, the master called the drunkard disciple and revealed the hidden secrets to him.

A veritable revolt broke out among the others.

“How shameful!” they cried in the streets, “We have sacrificed ourselves for the wrong master, one who can’t see our qualities.”

Hearing the commotion outside, the dying master remarked, “I had to pass on these secrets to a man that I knew well. All my pupils are very virtuous, and showed only their qualities. That is dangerous, for virtue often serves to hide vanity, pride and intolerance. That is why I chose the only disciple whom I know really well, since I can see his defect: drunkenness.”

Recycling Nearly Anything and Every thing

    Recycle_reuse_reduce

If your community has curbside or drop-off recycling, it's easy to recycle things like newspapers and empty bottles. What about the stuff your friendly recycling crew doesn't pick up? Find out where to recycle everything from Crocs to printer cartridges.

Most towns and cities have recycling programs that cover basics like plastic bottles, tin cans, paper, and so on. When it comes to recycling other items like carpet, paint, prescription drugs, and smoke detectors, however, things get a little trickier. Over at the blog of the home-centric magazine Real Simple they've gathered together a list of ideas and contacts for recycling many common—but not easily recycled—household items.

The companies and resources on their list will recycle everything from old shoes to prescription glasses to tires. If you're decluttering your house and garage this spring make sure to check the list before tossing out your no longer needed items—things like eye glasses, shoes, and prescriptions will go to destitute third-world countries instead of your local land fill.

Judging a Leader by cover .

A reader sends Paulo Coelho  a questionnaire in which he presents the profile of three world leaders who lived in the same period of history, and asks if it is possible to choose the best one using the following data:

Candidate A was associated with witchdoctors and often consulted astrologists. He had two mistresses. His wife was a Lesbian. He smoked a lot. He drank eight to ten martinis a day.

Candidate B never managed to hold down a job because of his arrogance. He slept the whole morning. He used opium at school, and was always considered a bad student. He drank a glass of brandy every morning.

Candidate C was decorated a hero. A vegetarian, he did not smoke. His discipline was exemplary. He occasionally drank a beer. He stayed with the same woman during his moments of glory and defeat.

And Who were those Leaders ?

A] Franklin Delano Roosevelt. B] Winston Churchill. C] Adolf Hitler.

Now How can we say who was good who was bad ,why was he bad or why is he good.I still feel If Hitler used his authority over Germany not to go to war but to development ,undoubtedly hw would have been the most worshipped leader ever, but his destiny was different.

Who is your favorite Leader or dream leader why ? For me its Hitler (only till how he managed to gain authority over all of Germany)Not only form these 3 it can be any one . If there is a one list of Ideal Leader qualities list ,may be our Leaders will try to be that Perfect Leader.

Post Inspiration from : Paulo Coelho’s Blog .

Pray to say thank you not to ask !

Pray to say thank you not to ask .God created you and that is his purpose ,rest all you are doing to your self and any thing and every thing happening is a miracle and miracle alone. god is not giving you any thing except life he doesn't write destiny or fate  . when you are praying some thing so hard and want it so badly you are the one sending all the positive vibes and orders in to this world and they will come back fulfilling your desire.

In my culture we go to temple and most of times we pray and in some occasions we pray to wish for some thing  and when you ask what they wished they don't say what they wished and most of times I also heard people say that if they reveal what they wished it will not come true .

Yes it all makes perfect sense now it is really easy to connect dots backwards and every thing i read and knew about god, religion ,facts and every thing spiritual seems so different and I clearly feel the difference.when I mix Buddhism,Hinduism and Philosophy and many other materials all together I came to this  conclusion .

Nothing in Universe gets destroyed and it all just changes forms and Karma is the Ultimate law. Do good and good will happen and think bad bad will happen. No matter how much good deeds or thoughts you think one bad thought or bad action you will have to pay for it.

No there is no substitution law . good account is good account only and bad account is separate for bad and you cannot mix them. The most valuable thing you have to take care in your life is your thoughts.and your whole life depends on it and it really makes sense.

I may sound crazy but I now strongly feel You are born as whom ever you are now is completely result of your actions only Good Karma I call it.and being born as human is a gift and you should be proud you made it and you have to do some efforts to maintain that balance of karma.

Trust in god what ever name you may call him he will answer and completely there is no bias ,no rules or no to do lists for god.all religions ultimate goals is to  enlighten and reaching god .Salvation ,Mukthi ,give it any name reaching him is all that you need and no matter how many millions of times you born or die in any form that is your ultimate goal.

24/7 you need to have gratitude towards god and compassionate towards every thing else.

Do only good deeds day and night ,in action in thinking and live a happy life.Try this for a day don't do or think a single bad or negative action or thought and you will feel the difference.
